Secondary Jurisdiction Registered Agent Order Form Now Available

all states RA serviceIn early 2023, Harvard Business Services, Inc. (HBS) introduced a platform for clients with MyControlDesk accounts (MCD) to order Registered Agent services in secondary jurisdictions (other states). Recently, HBS has implemented a new order form that is available through our website directly so that clients can order Registered Agent Services for their companies in other states without having to log into their MCD account.

This is a platform that many of our larger clients have been clamoring for, especially those that form companies for clients of their own.  Now, there’s more flexibility for clients as they can order these specific services either through logging into their MCD account or simply through the HBS website.  In turn, larger clients like attorneys can enter their own clients’ contact information if they would like their own clients to be the individuals within HBS records to receive the correspondence.

While HBS is based in Delaware and serves as a Delaware Registered Agent, HBS can also offer Registered Agent services in other states and Puerto Rico, too.  HBS can even serve as your Registered Agent in multiple states at the same time.  Some of our clients sometimes complete filings with other states directly and need to satisfy the requirement to have a Registered Agent based in the state of filing.

Perhaps, an individual plans to form a new domestic New York LLC and needs to appoint a New York based Registered Agent.  Or, maybe an individual needs to formally revive a domestic California Corporation and needs a California based Registered Agent.  Another example could be the need to appoint a Registered Agent in other states when foreign qualifying a Delaware company in multiple states.  After requesting Registered Agent services for a secondary jurisdiction, HBS will provide the affiliate Registered Agent information for the selected states that is required for the state applications being filed for approval.

The information required for the new Registered Agent Service order form is as follows:

  • Contact Information such as the individual’s name, email address, physical address and phone number.
  • The name of the company the Registered Agent Service is needed for.  HBS will also need to know if the company has already been formed and the domestic state of incorporation.
  • Then, the client can select the state(s) the Registered Agent Service is required for.  Other states can also be selected if the agent service is needed in multiple states.
  • The last step would be processing the payment and once the payment is applied, an email containing the affiliate agent information/address in the state(s) selected will be sent to the individual.

To sign up for Delaware or any other state Registered Agent services, click here to complete the order form.

It’s also important to note that the appointment of our Registered Agent Service does not include any filings being submitted by HBS to any state's office to initiate the appointment of the Registered Agent Service. The order form is for the appointment of the registered agent service only. If a client requires assistance with the actual filing, such as a Delaware formation, Foreign Qualification or domestic company formation in another state, our sales team will certainly be able to assist and provide you with more information specific to your request.
